It’s past the quarter of the year and I thought I’ll share some of the things I’m loving right now.
1. Investing in Myself
I’m all about investing in myself right now, from growing personally to becoming financially stable. I don’t know how to really explain it but I feel like a flower that is ready to bloom and cannot wait any longer. I’m trying new things everyday, reflecting a lot and striving to become the person that I am in my head. I’m also testing out new business ventures and really focusing on growing my brand.
2. Reading
I don’t remember the last time I sat and read a book which is really sad because I loved to read and learn about the world as a kid. I’ve recently bought 5 books from different genres and the book i’m currently reading is the intelligent investor, because I’m really focused on investing young and becoming financially stable, and to do that I need basic knowledge on how to invest. I also got “Becoming Michelle Obama” duh… I idolize her. My current goal is to read 10 pages a day which hasn’t been going really well but baby steps people, baby steps.
3. Becoming a Morning Person
This is a surprise even for me because I love sleeping in and staying up late. I’m that person who starts doing laundry at 1 am, cleans the entire apartment, cooks etc. I decided to become a morning person because there’s something about waking up early in the morning, planning your day and reflecting which feels GOOD. Also, it’s easier to for me to workout before work and have my entire evening to do other stuff. I’ve really been slacking on my workout routine, but switching to working out early in the morning gave me back my motivation. So if you are struggling with keeping up with your workouts, try switching when you workout.
4. Journaling
I’ve always journaled in some form but not actively. I try to do it every night before bed now and it really helps me reflects on my day. I can go back and see how much i’ve grown and the person I am becoming. Also, I am that person whose thoughts are always racing and journaling is like an organized dumpster for my thoughts. I’m sure every time I journal my brain screams “FREEDOM”.
5. Feng Shui and Spirituality
I stumbled upon a Feng Shui blog one day and it just made sense. Anyone who knows me, knows I believe in astrology, aligning yourself with the universe etc. I got a book on Taoism because I like to understand the why and origination of things instead of blindly doing things. For a start, I bought a couple of crystals. My spirituality has been falling for a while now and somehow God still takes care of me. I’m trying to pray more, read my bible and reconnect with the Almighty
