Moving to college as freshman could be exciting and nerve wracking. You are probably excited to embark on this journey but you don’t know what to expect. Here a few things to help you settle in..

WALL DECOR: Your dorm will be your new home so make it as homey as possible. Here are a few places you can get wall decor from to make the space your own. Amazon, Bed Bad & Beyond and Wallpops.
Mini Fridge: You are probably not going to be doing any cooking but once in a while you may need to store things like milk, drinks etc, hence getting a small fridge maybe be helpful.
Backpack: You will need a backpack to carry your books, computer etc to and from classes.
Storage Bins: Given that you won’t have a lot of space, storage bins are a must have.
Comfy Chair: Once in a while you will want to relax on something other than your bed. This chair is perfect for those occasions.
Robe: Robes are perfect for just relaxing in your room and can be worn pre and post showers.
Headphones: This is a must have for working out, walking in-between classes etc. If you go to a school in the midwest or any areas where the winters are brutal, you can use over the ear headphones as ear muffs.
Bicycle: Going to a super big school like University of Michigan, running late to class or have classes all over campus? Just use your bike.
In addition to the items listed above, get something from home which will help you settle in, be it a picture or a blanket and you should be all set.
