A Christmas and Holiday Gift Guide

It is the season of giving. The season filed with Christmas corals, lights which could be seen from miles away and the time of the year when we get to see our favorite and not so favorite family members. Christmas brings so much Joy and some of those joys are the joy of giving and warmth you feel when you put a smile on someone else’s face. This time of the year could be the most stressful when it comes to shopping, so here’s a little guide to make things a little easier.

For The Fitness Junkie
We all know someone who is really into fitness and all that good stuff and you are probably wondering what to get them. Here are some things which they may like: Any sort of activity tracker like a Fitbit or an Apple Watch would be perfect for them. They would also love a good pair of trainers and workout gear.

For the Sports Fanatic
If there are three things that they care about, sports is usually up there on the list. These people are usually the easiest to shop for. Get them season tickets to their favorite games and gear from their favorite sports team. If you can and if they have really been good this year, go all out and give them a game experience they would never forget.

For the One Who Values Quality Time
There are some people whose love language is quality time and for people like this, material things don’t really mean anything to them. You may have tried for years to get something for them but it is just never right. If they like volunteering in the community, spend sometime volunteering with them or take them out to do something which they really care about.

For the Extra One/ Fashionista
These people usually have a presence when they walk into a room and you could describe them as “the stand out”because they are never trying to fit in. They like unique things, so they are usually the hardest people to shop for. They would love things like this Faux Fur coat which would allow them to stand out even more. If you still can’t find something unique which they may like, just give them the dollars or find something unique from their favorite brand. (Not the common Michael Kors or Gucci purse, unless you think they may like it)

For the New Parents
When our friends or family members have children, we usually spend most of our time getting gifts for the kids and completely forget about the parents. What if we gave the new parents the gift of a break this Christmas?Get them gift cards to one of their favorite restaurants, movie tickets, spa day, massages and offer to watch the kid(s) while they go. If you are rich rich, you can even buy them tickets to a nice destination.

For the Gamer
They spend all their time playing video games and you don’t get it but you also don’t mind it. These are another group of people that are easy to shop for. Get them a good pair of gaming headsets or a gaming chair. This is assuming that they already have a game console. If they don’t they would probably like an Xbox, Nintendo switch or a PS4. Get a couple games with the console like, Fortnite, Mario Kart etc.

For Mom and Dad
Just do your chores and get good grades in school lol. Jewelry is usually a good gift for moms. Make the jewelry sentimental like engraving something on it or customizing it, so that they can think of you whenever they wear it. Jewelry works well for dads too. You could also get your dad a good watch and/or a matching belt and shoe set.

For The Creators
Creatives could be one of the hardest or easiest people to shop for, because depending on their craft, you know exactly what they do or you have no clue. For those who you know exactly what they do, like photography, get them a lens which they don’t already have. For bloggers, pay for a photographer to take pictures/videos for them or give them money. Lastly, for digital creators, get them a Pivo pod which is a pod which allows one to take videos without a cameraman, by automatically tracking the users movements. Honestly the greatest gifts you could ever give a creative is being involved in their work, share their work and actually support them.

For the Sneaker Head
They usually care a lot about collecting sneakers and treat their sneakers better than their kids, family and friends lol. Get them some classic sneakers from their favorite brands which they don’t already have.

For the New Home Owners
Get them something for their home. Not something you want them to have but something they would actually use. Try to get them something which matches the theme of their new home if they have one.

This is not an exhaustive list but I hope it helped you figure out different things to get your loved ones. The trick to gift shopping is, pay attention to what other people care about and ask them questions through out the year, or a few months before Christmas to figure out what they want. Don’t make it too obvious! Remember to also trust your instincts because you know your loved ones better than any gift guide.

Clothes, shoes and toys are always a very safe option.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful holidays!
